About

Marlila Therapies

The name Marlila is a heartfelt tribute to my family, created by blending the names of my four family members. They have been the inspiration behind this work.

My approach is a complementary blend of personal studies in various healing modalities, combined with the wisdom and experience I have gained as a spiritual seeker. My focus on women, children, and families naturally evolved from my background as a teacher and my own journey as a mother of two.

I am deeply passionate about helping families identify areas of discord and providing practical skills and therapeutic support to foster harmony and reconnection. My work is especially centered on healing generational trauma and inner child wounds, understanding that these patterns can ripple through families, communities, and future generations.

About

Marisa Fior

I was born and raised in Alice Springs, Australia. However, for the past 10 years I have been fortunate to be living in Bali, with my husband and our two daughters.

I have been a seeker from a young age. I found myself drawn to alternative therapies and exploring the psyche through meditation and art. I first became a Reiki practitioner in 2002 and later qualified as an Art therapist In 2005. I didn't feel ready to be a practitioner at such a young age of 25 and so instead headed toward a career of working in education.

From my work as a teacher, I felt a strong calling to support the well-being of each child; I have always felt that connection came naturally to me. After having my own children, I felt drawn even more to work with children in a therapeutic setting and so went on to study Play therapy, Meditation, CBT, Embodied focusing and Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy.

I am now honoured to share with you all that I have learned and practiced over the years.

In my personal experience...

As a mother living in Bali, my biggest challenge was finding practioners who worked specifically with children. At times, I felt overwhelmed and noticed my child developing challenging behavior. After the birth of our second child, it became increasingly harder and harder to connect with her and her anger became explosive. I knew I needed something more.

I tried different therapeutic treatments for both of us and then began my own research. After experimenting with different techniques that leaned toward my goal of repairing and rebuilding the bond between my child and I. The interventions that I used were so effective that I decided to put together my  own practice, consult, and programs.

My personal Goal...

My goal for Marlila is to create a Health and Well-being centre for the families in Bali as well as for the online community. I fully dedicate myself to this abundant path of continuous learning and service to humanity.
